PechaKucha - Liz Hover presents about Sadie Shih Tzu
“Fear and risk are vital components for personal and business development.”

I don’t usually tackle something this heavily emotional but today I read a post by Jacob Morgan on fear and risk which totally struck a chord with me.
And before you think I’m going off topic, this is absolutely tied to social media.
Talking about his own risks, Jacob says he one day he threw all his clothes in his car and moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
While I didn’t make an impulse decision, I made a big upheaval in my life in 2003 and emmigrated from the UK to Canada at the tender age of 29.
It was and remains my single most life changing event.

I've been a reader of Steve Rubel for some time now. He recently moved the bulk of his blogging to posterous to create a lifestream.
I admire his initiative.
One of my bug bears has long been the fragmentation of content across the web that's authored by the same person. Hey, I'm one of those people with multiple sites and accounts.
I created a posterous account some time ago but have never really used it. I have spaces across the internet like this one that are the result of my passion and curiosity to check out new things before quickly moving on to the next thing.
Two of my favourite aggregators Google Profile and FriendFeed allow me to collect all my links in one place. And I recently noticed that my own website www.lizhover.com is no longer the first item in Google search results for "Liz Hover." My Google profile is. Which is a good thing.
There are a bizillion other sites that I've been checking out which aim to bring all your social media accounts and web links together in one easy space but I haven't fallen in love with any of them so far.
And I'm not sure that any of them have quite the right recipe yet.
